Duralex Thermoplastic Road Liner Paint is a durable, heat-applied material used for long-lasting road, highway, and parking lot markings. It is melted at high temperatures and applied hot, forming a thick, highly visible, and wear-resistant coating. Known for its excellent adhesion and quick cooling, it provides strong durability against heavy traffic and weather conditions. It contains reflective beads for enhanced night visibility, making them a preferred choice for safety critical applications.

Drying and recoat times are temperature, humidity and film thickness dependent.
It is essential to clean the road surface of all dust, dirt, oil, grease, and old markings using appropriate tools such as brushes, blowers, or high pressure air. If necessary, mechanical grinding or water blasting can be employed to remove stubborn contaminants or previous markings. The surface must be completely dry, as moisture significantly reduces the adhesion of both primer and thermoplastic material. Surface and ambient temperatures should ideally be above 10°C to ensure optimal bonding and drying conditions.
Chalk / string lines are used to define the exact placement of lines, arrows, symbols, or other markings in accordance with local road marking standards. Accurate layout is essential to ensure proper lane guidance. For concrete or smooth asphalt surfaces, a primer is recommended to enhance adhesion. A thin, even coat of solvent-based primer is applied and allowed to dry for 10–20 minutes. The thermoplastic material is heated to 180–220°C in a pre-heater and applied using screed, extrusion, or spray methods, depending on the desired marking type. The material is typically applied at a thickness of 1.5–2.5 mm. While still hot, glass beads are dropped onto the surface to ensure retro-reflectivity. The markings cool and harden within 15–30 minutes, and roads can usually be opened to traffic within 1–2 hour. Final checks should ensure uniformity, reflectivity, and adhesion, with all workers using appropriate PPE to ensure safety during the process.

WARNING: Scrapping/sanding off previously painted surfaces may release lead dust or fumes. Lead is highly toxic; take protective measures thoroughly when rubbing off the old surfaces.
