Appropriate and good surface preparation significantly increases the top coat life and durability. Deploy skilled/experienced individuals for the application of paint. A few general instructions are given below.
New or Bare Surfaces:
New concrete, mortar or cement render must be allowed to cure for 8-12 weeks depending on concrete thickness and drying condition. Surface to be painted must be dry clean and free from all contamination and efflorescent salts. Remove dirt, grease and waxy material by rubbing down using a suitable sand paper. Apply one coat of Duralex Oil Primer and allow the surface to dry out completely, scuff the surface with suitable sand paper and dust off.
Previously Painted Sound Surfaces: Scrap off all the loosely adherent and defective paint from the surface with an appropriate abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Spot prime with Duralex Oil Primer and allow the surface to dry out completely. Scuff with a suitable sand paper and dust off.
Finishing: After surface preparation apply 2-3 coats of Duralex top coat. Ensure complete drying between successive coats. Thinning ratio must be followed for application procedure.
Stir thoroughly before use

WARNING: Scrapping/sanding off previously painted surfaces may release lead dust or fumes. Lead is highly toxic; take protective measures thoroughly when rubbing off the old surfaces.
